The Australian Disaster Resilience Index (ADRI)

The Australian Disaster Resilience Index (ADRI) is a snapshot of the capacities for disaster resilience in Australian communities. Understanding these capacities, and how they differ from place to place, will help communities, governments and industry work together to cope with and adapt to natural hazards such as bushfires, floods, storms and earthquakes.

A multi-hazard risk profile of 639 South Australian communities assessing exposure, vulnerability and resilience capacity across bushfire, flood, heatwave and earthquake hazards. Combines physical hazard data with social vulnerability indicators drawn from the 2021 Census. Designed to support state and local government risk-informed planning and priority investment decisions across South Australia.
