A longitudinal study of community recovery across 47 bushfire-affected communities following the 2019–20 Black Summer fires, tracking social cohesion, economic recovery, housing restoration and mental health outcomes at 6, 12 and 24 months post-event.

A nationally consistent assessment of bushfire risk across Australian communities, integrating vegetation type, fire weather, topography and building exposure. Designed to support land use planning decisions, community risk communication and emergency management resource allocation at local and regional scales. Covers all states and territories at a 25-metre spatial resolution.

Live OGC-compliant web map service delivering national bushfire fuel load and burn severity layers for direct use in desktop and web GIS applications. Provides continuously updated raster and vector layers without requiring bulk download, supporting operational fire agencies, land managers, and researchers who need current spatial data within their own mapping environments.

A practice statement describing how research teams should plan, run and report fire behaviour and cultural burning research carried out with Aboriginal ranger groups. It sets expectations for free, prior and informed consent, joint authorship, data custody, seasonal timing agreed with Traditional Owners, and return of results in community preferred formats. Prepared with ranger group coordinators across northern Australia and the Kimberley.

A peer reviewed article reporting interviews and classroom observations in eleven primary and secondary schools across the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla, carried out two years after the 2019 to 2020 Black Summer fires. The study examines what students retained from bushfire preparedness lessons, how teachers managed student distress, and where school emergency plans diverged from Rural Fire Service advice.
